Field Service Technician, TV and Internet

Roblin Tech Services Inc. is hiring TV and Internet technicians to provide installation and repair services for Shaw Direct Satellite TV and Xplore Fixed Wireless and Satellite Internet.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Potential earnings are between $50,000 and $75,000/per year. Your experience and ability to perform tasks quickly and reliably will determine your earnings.

We are looking to hire in the following locations:

— Roblin – Russel – Shoal Lake
— Winnipeg South – Steinbach – St Malo
— Dauphin – Sainte Rose du Lac – Winnipegosis

Previous experience working with Satellite and Fixed Wireless services will be preferred but not required. We are looking for candidates with any type of wiring experience, working in residential homes, and operating hand tools.

When hired as an employee of Roblin Tech Services, stat holiday pay and vacation pay are provided. Income tax is held on all wages paid as an employee.

Requirements:

— Must have access to a reliable work vehicle (truck, van, suv) with the capability of carrying a 28ft ladder at minimum
— Ability to work with ladders and work at heights
— Comfortable using hand tools
— Ability to work independently
— Cell phone with data capabilities and camera is required to receive and close work
— Valid drivers license and drivers abstract is required.
— Criminal record check is required

Skillset:

— Install, connect, repair and troubleshoot Satellite Dish (Shaw Direct, Xplore) and Fixed Wireless (Xplore) services
— Install and configure wireless internet services
— Install and terminate wiring, including COAX and CAT5
— Organize and manage work schedule day to day, speak with customers and confirm appointments

Provided:

— Relevant platform and provider specific training will be provided
— Ride-along training is required for all applicants and will be paid hourly
— Industry specific tools will be provided
